Quantum Century Exhibition

Quantum Century
Celebrating 100 Years of Quantum Science

In alignment with the United Nations’ International Year of Quantum Science & Technology, Cochin University of Science and Technology is proud to launch Quantum Century—a statewide exhibition starting on November 7, 2025. The Centre for Science in Society (C-SiS) at CUSAT will serve as the first venue in a larger programme of cross-departmental outreach, supported by KSSP and LUCA.

More than a celebration, Quantum Century is a movement to make science simple, engaging, and accessible. Through a traveling exhibition across Kerala, we will bring interactive exhibits, hands-on demonstrations, VR/AR experiences, and creative learning to schools, colleges, universities, museums, and public spaces. From the origins of quantum mechanics in 1925 to today’s breakthroughs in quantum computing, AI, cryptography, and healthcare, visitors will discover how quantum science shapes our lives and future.

Our mission is clear: to spark curiosity, break down barriers of technical language, and demonstrate that quantum technologies are not distant or abstract, but an integral part of everyday life. With mobile science stations, outreach programs, and digital platforms, even remote communities will experience science in action.

Through this initiative, C-SiS aims to inspire over 100,000+ citizens, nurturing critical thinking, innovation, and a lifelong scientific spirit.

French Photonics Days

Photonics France, SupOptique Alumni, and Systematic Paris-Region invite you to join them on 6 and 7 November in Orsay for the seventh edition of French Photonics Days, with the support of Institut d’Optique Graduate School and Sorbonne University.

Photonics in Seine: Photonics challenges in the Paris region.

Designed for a technical but non-specialist audience, the event aims to:

  • Take stock of the development of new photonic technologies and their applications.
  • Discover current research topics related to the themes discussed in the conferences.
  • Enjoy exclusive visits to companies and technology platforms on the Saclay Plateau.

Over two half-days, conferences on the following topics:

  • Innovation mechanisms
  • Semiconductors for integrated photonics
  • New microscopy techniques for biomedicine
  • Dark energy
  • Large lasers
  • Quantum photonics in the Paris region

Seminar on Artificial Intelligence & Quantum Computing

This seminar is a space for everyone: students, researchers, professionals, and the simply curious. Expect engaging talks, open discussions, and the freedom to ask questions that challenge the boundaries of knowledge. Through initiatives like this, CITEDI of Instituto Politécnico Nacional, with the participation of CETYS Universidad and Universidad Politécnica de Pachuca, fosters a vibrant community where ideas evolve into innovation. One of the core objectives is to train and promote scientific vocations among youth, encouraging the next generation to pursue discovery and research. We believe in the power of shared knowledge to shape the future, and we hope this seminar becomes a recurring tradition that continues to inspire and connect minds across disciplines.

Leibinger Begegnungen: Understanding Quantum Technology—the Science, Society, and Culture Side of Things

2025 is the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ2025), providing a valuable opportunity to discuss one of the most exciting and transformative technologies of our time. While quantum technologies are opening up new possibilities in communication, information processing, and measurement technology, they are also prompting us to question their influence on our understanding of physics and nature. Even 125 years after Planck introduced quantum theory, classical physics still shapes our culture and society.

This ‘Leibinger Begegnungen’ event will explore the fundamentals as well as the latest developments. The event will explore the opportunities and challenges, the history, and how societies address the issues presented by quantum technologies today and in the future.

Quantum Education Summit

Quantum technologies are poised to redefine industries, revolutionize problem-solving, and accelerate scientific discovery. Accessible quantum education is no longer a luxury but a necessity to ensure inclusivity and innovation across all sectors.

The Quantum Education Summit 2025 aims to break down barriers to quantum knowledge by offering sessions tailored to all levels of expertise.

From beginners exploring the basics to advanced learners delving into cutting-edge developments, the event emphasizes the need to make quantum technologies both understandable and accessible to all.

AQCCWo 2025: Amazonian Quantum Computing and Communications Workshop

In celebration of the UN’s International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ), and to celebrate research achievements and scientific-technological partnerships, we are holding the Amazonian Quantum Computing and Communication Workshop (AQCCWo) 2025. This workshop will bring together researchers, students, and industry representatives to explore the advances and challenges of quantum technologies, with a focus on quantum computing and communication. The event aims to promote the exchange of ideas, disseminate scientific research results, strengthen collaboration between academia and the productive sector, and discuss strategies for developing innovative solutions that will propel the Amazon region into the global scientific and technological landscape. More than just a space for lectures and debates, this workshop is an opportunity to build bridges, attract new stakeholders, and welcome a community dedicated to transforming the future through quantum science and technology. Promoted by the Quantum Computing and Science and Technology subgroup of the ALGOX Group (Algorithms, Optimization, and Computational Intelligence) of the Federal University of Amazonas’ Institute of Computing (IComp/UFAM), and part of UFAM’s National Science and Technology Week, SECTICE, with the following partners: Military Engineering Institute (IME) and SiSDIA – DCT/EB.
May this be the first of many!
