Rayssa Bruzaca de Andrade

Dr. Rayssa Bruzaca de Andrade is a Brazilian physicist whose work spans quantum science, applied technology, and STEM education. Currently, she works at NKT Photonics as an R&D Optical Engineer, developing fiber-laser-based hardware for quantum technologies.

Bruzaca is also deeply engaged in quantum education and outreach. She led the Quantum Hardware team at Womanium (Wiser) for three years, reaching over 8,000 students across 100 countries through lectures and virtual lab tours. In Denmark, she is a role model at High5Girls. She helped develop High5Girls’ Quantum Summer Camp and the “Go to Science” program, introducing young girls to STEM and quantum science. At QBrasil, she organizes quantum events in Portuguese, expanding accessibility in her home country.

Her work demonstrates technical excellence alongside a commitment to inclusivity and global engagement. Through mentoring and public engagement, de Andrade has made quantum science more accessible, leaving a global footprint.
