Alessandra Jabłonowska

Alessandra Jabłonowska is expanding quantum education and outreach, bridging research, policy, and public engagement. Her research applies the Variational Quantum Eigensolver to simulate ground states of elementary particles, and her team has previously won global hackathons. At CERN, she co-organized the Polish Teacher Training Program, providing hands-on quantum education for teachers, and contributes to CERN’s Open Quantum Institute, promoting societal applications of quantum technologies.

In collaboration with Poland’s Ministry of Education, Jabłonowska helped integrate quantum concepts into technical high school curricula. She also founded Ask a Quantum Scientist, an international interview series featuring top researchers, now widely used as educational material. Her outreach spans three continents and includes initiatives to make quantum science accessible to diverse audiences, including sign-language adaptations.

Jabłonowska is a strong advocate for gender equity in STEM through Girls in Quantum and Poland’s “Girls to STEM” campaign, inspiring young women to pursue science. She has organized major events, including the quantum track at the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit. Across research, education, and advocacy, she advances quantum science while promoting inclusion and public engagement.
