Shohini Ghose

As a distinguished quantum physicist, educator, and advocate, Dr. Shohini Ghose’s work has influenced quantum science and STEM communities worldwide. She serves as Professor of Physics and NSERC Chair for Women in Science and Engineering at Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as Chief Technology Officer of the Quantum Algorithms Institute, leading research in quantum information science and foundational quantum physics.
Ghose is a passionate champion for equity, diversity, and inclusion in STEM. As founding Director of the Laurier Centre for Women in Science, she has mentored countless students, created resources for women in science, and driven systemic change in academic and professional communities.
Ghose extends her impact globally as a TED Senior Fellow, award-winning author, and public speaker, making complex quantum concepts accessible to broad audiences. Her co-founding of the Centre for Responsible Quantum Innovation and Technologies (CRQIT) reflects her commitment to leveraging quantum science for societal benefit.
