Dr. Saesun Kim is a quantum physicist focused on building scalable quantum computers and developing advanced control systems for scientists worldwide. With a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma and experience in quantum sensing research at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Kim bridges research and practical implementation in quantum technologies, most recently through his work with Keysight Technologies.
Kim is deeply committed to making quantum science accessible. He led localization efforts in Korea, translating core educational materials and enabling thousands of students to engage with quantum computing in their native language. He has delivered university seminars globally, mentoring students and demonstrating real-world applications of quantum computing and sensing.
Beyond technical contributions, Kim actively supports emerging researchers through mentorship programs, hackathons, and guidance for opportunities such as the Unitary Fund. He emphasizes not only technical skill development but also building confidence and fostering a sense of belonging in quantum science. His work strengthens the global quantum ecosystem by combining technical expertise with inclusive community-building.
