Dr. Nobu-Hisa Kaneko is a researcher in quantum metrology, whose career has been defined by advancing the practical applications of quantum for precision measurement and standards.
Since 2003, Kaneko has been a leading figure at the National Metrology Institute of Japan (NMIJ), AIST, where his research has contributed to the development of next-generation quantum electrical standards. As Principal Researcher and Team Leader of G-QuAT, AIST’s initiative for Quantum-AI Technology, he promotes collaboration between academia, industry, and government to accelerate innovation and real-world applications of quantum computing and sensing.
Kaneko has also been influential in international organizations, shaping global standards in quantum measurement. With over 100 peer-reviewed publications and extensive leadership in collaborative research, Kaneko continues to bridge fundamental quantum research with tangible results, fostering global cooperation in the development of precise and reliable quantum measurement systems.
