Krysta Svore
Vice President of Applied Quantum Computing Research, NVIDIA, United States
Dr. Krysta Svore is the Vice President of Applied Quantum Computing Research at NVIDIA. Previously, she was at Microsoft, where she led the development of reliable quantum computing by co-designing hardware, software, and error-correction strategies.
Svore’s research spans fault-tolerant error correction, novel algorithms and resource estimates for quantum computing, and innovations in quantum programming, including co-designing Q# and the Quantum Intermediate Representation (QIR) to standardize quantum software across platforms. She has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles, filed more than 30 patents, and is recognized as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Physical Society, and the Washington State Academy of Sciences.
Beyond her leadership roles, Svore has contributed to the broader quantum ecosystem through advisory roles with the National Quantum Initiative and the Department of Energy’s Advanced Scientific Computing Advisory Committee, and supports the development of technology talent through the NCWIT. She is also committed to supporting quantum education and has co-taught one of the first undergraduate courses on quantum programming.
