As Co-founder of SpeQtral in Singapore, Lum is advancing quantum-secure communications, working to protect global communication infrastructure by overcoming the distance limitations of fiber-based systems through satellite connectivity and enabling truly global quantum-safe networks. His company launched SpeQtre, a satellite set to demonstrate space-to-ground quantum communication, in partnership with the UK’s RAL Space in November 2025.
