The school aims at forming PhD students by offering them a broad overview of fundamental physics and out-of-the-lab applications. Well-recognized researchers from solid-state, quantum information, and atomic physics will provide the fundamental science aspects, while entrepreneurs and scientists in research and development will discuss the industrial opportunities of quantum technologies. The training will give the PhD students a unique view on state-of-the-art quantum experiments and their applications, together with industrial outlooks, focusing on photon-based qubits.
