LIGO-India, an upcoming mega science project dedicated to detecting gravitational waves, finds applications of quantum technologies in its detectors. The LIGO-India Education and Public Outreach, the outreach wing of the LIGO-India project, is organizing a one-day event at the Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics to celebrate the International Year of Quantum. The event will host experts in the fields of quantum science and technology from all over India to give talks and participate in the discussions leading to “Quantum Physics and Gravitational Waves” on 5th August 2025 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm IST.
