Quantum Computing for Plasma Physics Satellite Meeting

We are pleased to announce the “Quantum Computing for Plasma Physics” satellite meeting, which will take place right after the 51st EPS Conference on Plasma Physics. In celebration of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, we invite you to join us on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, at the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) in Vilnius, Lithuania, to explore the opportunities that quantum computing opens for plasma physics research and showcase how these two fields can propel each other forward. This unique meeting aims to involve the plasma physics community in the global quantum initiative by showcasing contemporary efforts to integrate the latest quantum tools, algorithms, and methods into basic plasma physics research, magnetic and inertial fusion endeavours, and related disciplines, ultimately paving the way for future advancements. We welcome everyone to attend; prior expertise in the topic is not required.

The program includes invited talks from international plasma physicists and quantum computing experts, a panel discussion, and a poster session to foster interaction and collaboration, particularly for early-career researchers interested in this emerging interdisciplinary field. To register and participate with a poster presentation, interested researchers are invited to submit their information via the following form:

Registration for the Satellite Meeting is free of charge. For inquiries about the satellite meeting, please get in touch with Dr. Lucas I. Iñigo Gamiz and Dr. Efstratios Koukoutsis at eps.qcpp.2025@gmail.com.
