Join this event on World Quantum Day 2025 and witness the return of Europe’s most famous quantum emitter at Urania in Berlin, Germany! How do you create individual light particles, and what can you do with them? We will explore these and other questions, introducing the audience to the fascinating world of quantum optics. Following a keynote presentation by Prof. Oliver Benson (HU Berlin), we will showcase highlights from the open science and outreach project QuanTour. During its journey, the quantum light source traveled across Europe, visiting over 12 different quantum laboratories and meeting researchers from across the continent. QuanTour is an official outreach project of the German Physical Society (DPG) in celebration of UNESCO’s International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, jointly organized by quantum enthusiasts Doris Reiter and Tobias Heindel, along with outreach expert Pranoti Kshirsagar.
