Pitcher of Quantum
Pitcher of Quantum is a dynamic experience where the next generation of quantum physicists shares, demystifies, and highlights quantum technology. The aim? To pitch how quantum technology impacts our daily lives.
Quantum technology might seem distant, but it’s already in smartphones, MRI scanners, navigation, and sensors. It drives innovation, enabling more precise, secure, and powerful solutions.
Unlike traditional science events with slides and jargon, Pitcher of Quantum transforms complex ideas into engaging, bite-sized stories. Each 3-minute talk sparks curiosity, explains societal impact, and makes the audience say, “Wow, I actually get this!”
Speakers are Master’s students from DigiQ, a European program training future quantum leaders, with partners like the Technical University of Denmark, Université Paris-Saclay – École Normale Supérieure of France, and Friedrich Schiller University Jena of Germany. They are experts in quantum science and skilled in science communication, making complex topics relatable for all.
We value diversity, welcoming voices from underrepresented groups to reflect the inclusive, global nature of science.
This year, for its first edition, Pitcher of Quantum will be part of Aarhus Festuge, one of the biggest arts and culture festivals in Scandinavia. Aarhus Festuge is a 10-day celebration taking place every year in late August to early September in the city of Aarhus, Denmark.
Expect a one-hour event with
-Engaging 3-minute talks
-Interactive Q&A sessions
-A fun quiz with prizes, testing your quantum curiosity
Whether you’re a science fan, curious, or wondering what “quantum” means, this event is for everyone. Step into the fascinating world of quantum physics through stories, applications, and future ideas.
