Curaçao Quantum Safe

Quantum computing is coming—and it changes everything. This transformative technology will revolutionize how we store, secure, and share data, but it also poses a serious challenge to current cybersecurity systems.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon that brings together leaders from government, academia, and the private sector to explore how Curaçao can prepare for the quantum era—and position itself as a Quantum-Safe Island.

NI Cyber Breakfast Club Quantum Takeover

Join the NI Cyber Cluster for a Quantum Takeover in recognition of IYQ. Hosted at the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) at Queen’s University of Belfast.

During the session, we will hear about some of the outstanding work being conducted by the center, as well as pioneering companies working in the post-quantum space.

Introduction to Quantum Materials and Devices

This webinar is intended for people interested in quantum materials and quantum technologies. The course will be valuable for physicists, materials scientists, engineers, and students working in condensed matter/materials physics and nano/quantum science and technology. The webinar assumes basic knowledge of solid-state physics and quantum mechanics, but no prior specialized knowledge of quantum materials or quantum devices is required.

Quantum Fair Myanmar 2025

Centering on the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, youth and civil society in Myanmar are coming together to organise a quantum fair featuring panels and talks by renowned Burmese physics professors who conducted research on the science in continental Europe during its early stages.

Four main pillars of the event are:

  1. Celebrating the IYQ2025
  2. Inspiring minds
  3. Building Community
  4. Quantum for Peace and Future

We intend to encourage and reconnect the youth of Burma, who have long been distanced from international scientific progress and quantum advancements, with the global movement and to become curious about their own place in the world.

Conference for Advancement of Science Teaching

State conference of science teachers in Texas. Three different hour-long sessions, including:

1) Malus’ Law, Polarization, and Cryptography;

2) Wave Particle Duality; and

3) Beyond Bohr.

Qiskit Fall Fest 2025 at the IPM CAS in Brno

Qiskit Fall Fest 2025 will be held at the Institute of Physics of Materials (IPM) of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Brno, Czech Republic, on Thursday, November 13, 2025. There will be three hour-long lectures (at 1 pm, 3 pm, and 5 pm) for about 100 visitors each, followed by a hands-on submission and execution of a calculation at an IBM quantum computer. The participants will be given a certificate that they performed a calculation using a quantum computer.

Cosmic Horrors: Not if, but When. A Panel of Cosmic Horror Authors, Physicists, and a Folklorist

In an event inspired by the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, four authors of cosmic horror join two physicists and a folklorist for an imagination-bending panel discussion about the interplay of science in fiction. When you think about it, the disciplines of science and storytelling share many commonalities. Both require imagination, the desire to pry open doors into unexplored spaces—and, in the words of author Mary SanGiovanni, the burning pursuit of the question, “What if?”
