Quantum Optics School at RIAO-OPTILAS2025

In celebration of the International Year of Quantum, the International Commission for Optics (ICO, in cooperation with the IberoAmerican Optics Network (RIAO) and the Universidad Privada Boliviana, is organizing an International School about Quantum Optics in parallel with the RIAO-OPTILAS 2025 conference, the flagship event for optics and photonics in the Iberian-American region, that will take place from November 17 to 21, 2025, at the Santa Cruz de la Sierra Campus of the Universidad Privada Boliviana. In an active and interactive way, and in an open, casual, and friendly atmosphere, world-renowned scholars and researchers will address Quantum and Quantum Optics from the very basics to some more advanced topics both theoretical and experimental or applied including with industrial applications examples. The School’s sessions will be distributed throughout the week with a schedule that will allow participants to also attend and enjoy the activities of RIAO-OPTILAS 2025 conference.

My Photonic Ship in Krakow

Bartłomiej Nowodworski High School (Krakow, Poland) will host the 6-hour-long, in-person quantum workshop “My Photonic Ship” as part of the Latvian Quantum Initiative project, led by Dr. Abuzer Yakaryilmaz from the University of Latvia, supported by Quantum AI Foundation (Poland). During the workshop, high school students will explore quantum superposition, conduct photon experiments using simulators, engage in mathematical and philosophical discussions, and develop a video game integrating quantum superposition. Through these activities, the participants will gain hands-on experience with quantum computing principles and their creative applications.

First Workshop On Quantum Science and Technology

This event on Quantum Science and Technology will take place at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Medea, Algeria, on the 24th of June 2025.
