On June 16, 2025, a workshop on “Future-Proofing the Internet: DNS Security in a Quantum World” was organized in collaboration with the IEEE Photonics Society, DNS Forum Uganda, and the IEEE ISBAT University Student Branch at ISBAT University, Kampala, Uganda, East Africa. The event aimed to educate and empower the next generation of IT and engineering participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for cybersecurity in this quantum world. As quantum technologies advance, traditional cryptographic methods face unprecedented challenges. Participants explored how Domain Name System (DNS) security must evolve to withstand quantum threats. Participants delved into post-quantum solutions that ensure a secure and resilient digital future.
