The 69th Annual Conference of the South African Institute of Physics (SAIP) will be hosted by the School of Physics, University of the Witwatersrand from 07-11 July 2025 recognizing the “International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, 2025 and the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development, 2024–2033”.

The SAIP2025 conference is the prime annual gathering of local and international experts across all branches of physics. The scientific programme typically comprises approximately four hundred scientific presentations (oral and poster) delivered by academics, researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and postgraduate students, including plenary talks and workshops. This conference will place a special emphasis on diversity and inclusivity, aiming to attract more female participants from both academia and industry.
