Jornada amb motiu de l’Any Internacional de la Ciència i la Tecnologia Quàntiques

En el marc de l’Any Internacional de la Ciència i la Tecnologia Quàntica (IYQ 2025), el Departament de Recerca i Universitats organitza una jornada dedicada a explorar el passat, el present i el futur de la revolució quàntica. Barcelona esdevindrà el punt de trobada de científics, empreses innovadores i institucions internacionals per analitzar el paper fonamental de la física quàntica en el desenvolupament de tecnologies disruptives, des de la computació quàntica fins als sensors d’alta precisió. L’esdeveniment vol potenciar la col·laboració entre recerca, indústria i societat, consolidant Catalunya com un referent en aquest àmbit estratègic.

🔬 We invite schoolchildren to interactive “Principles of Uncertainty in the World” classes, which will be held from March 24 to 28, 2025!

🔹 Offline classes (from 11:00 to 14:00) – exciting demonstrations, master classes, and scientific experiments in a safe space. You will be able to not only observe but also participate in experiments!
🔹 Online quizzes Kahoot! (from 14:00 to 18:00) – test your knowledge and compete for the title of the smartest!
📍 Where will the events take place?
✅ Offline classes – in a specially prepared location in a shelter in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

International Conference on Quantum Science and Technologies: Emerging Perspective for a Viksit Bharat

In celebration of IYQ 2025, we are excited to announce the International Conference on Quantum Science and Technologies: Emerging Perspectives for a Viksit Bharat. This conference aims to bring together researchers, academics, and professionals to explore the latest advancements in quantum science, technologies, and their role in shaping a developed (Viksit) Bharat. It will also create awareness for undergraduate students about ongoing developments and inspire them to pursue opportunities within the field. The conference will also feature skill and capacity-building workshops on various topics in order to provide hands-on experience.

European Quantum Technology Summer School 2025

Are you a Master’s student in a STEM field and interested in quantum technologies? Then don’t miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of quantum technologies from 11 to 18 July 2025 in Paderborn, Germany!

We offer a summer school with a mix of informative lectures, practical hands-on workshops led by experts and lively networking activities. It is an opportunity to explore topics in areas that you may not get to learn about during formal schooling.

This project is part of a trilateral programme with the Netherlands, France, and Germany, and priority will be given to students from these countries. The summer school is free of charge and accommodation costs will be covered by the organisers.

The deadline for applications is the 15th of April 2025 at 14:00 CET.
