NQSTI International School: Advances in Atomic and Photonic Quantum Technologies

The Summer School: Advances in Atomic and Photonic Quantum Technologies, organized by the National Quantum Science and Technology Institute (NQSTI), will be held from September 1 to 5, 2025, in the picturesque town of San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy. This intensive program will delve into the rapidly progressing fields of atom-based quantum technologies and quantum photonic platforms, with a strong emphasis on areas such as quantum optomechanics, advanced sensing technologies, and their crucial applications in precision metrology. Attendees will gain exposure to the frontiers of research and innovation that are shaping the future of quantum science.

The school will also explore cutting-edge developments in quantum communication and information processing using both atomic and photonic systems, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the field’s scientific and industrial potential. A distinguished lineup of international experts—including D. Cassettari, A. Cleland, M. Colautti, M. Fattori, J. Fink, I. Gianani, V. G. Lucivero, F. Marquardt, J. S. Neergaard-Nielsen, M. Rossi, and F. Scazza—will deliver lectures throughout the week. Targeted at PhD students, early-career researchers, advanced MSc students, and professionals with a solid foundation in quantum physics, the event is hosted by the University of Camerino at its scenic seafront campus.

Please consult the school’s official webpage for further details, application deadlines, and registration information.
