Advanced Quantum Algorithms for Many-Body Systems (AQAM2025)
The advent of quantum computers, enabled by the second quantum revolution, could significantly enhance our understanding of problems that are currently intractable or impossible to solve on classical computers. Among these problems, quantum many-body systems emerge as ideal testbeds for novel quantum technologies, which are themselves artificial, interacting quantum systems.
In recent years, the development of quantum computing techniques for addressing many-body problems has gained significant momentum, and expert communities have emerged in various fields of physics and chemistry.
This workshop aims to provide an overview of the most recent developments and facilitate the exchange between field experts, with applications ranging from atomic nuclei, neutrinos, atomic and condensed matter, and quantum chemistry. Recent works and progress in treating many-body systems with quantum computers and related quantum information aspects will be presented. Another objective will be to discuss future avenues and challenges for quantum computers to describe many-body systems.
