UNESCO and the United Nations General Assembly have declared this year the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, in recognition of the centenary of the emergence of quantum mechanics and in acknowledgment of its decisive impact on the scientific, technological, and cultural development of humanity. This global commemoration invites us to reflect on the conceptual depth, historical transcendence, and enduring relevance of a theory that continues to guide our fundamental understanding of the universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this context, the Department of Physics and the Academy of Theoretical Physics of the University of Sonora are honored to organize this colloquium to celebrate the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. The event is conceived as an institutional academic forum aimed at promoting reflection, dialogue, and dissemination regarding the contemporary advances and challenges of quantum science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, the colloquium is intended for students, professors, and the general public interested in understanding and disseminating quantum science, as well as the scientific and technological applications derived from its principles, with the purpose of encouraging their participation in the scheduled activities and strengthening the connection between the university community and society.
