Paradox on Wheels

This installation invites visitors into the whimsical world of quantum curiosity, featuring the iconic Schrödinger’s cat and the charm of a jeep. It creates a striking visual metaphor for Schrödinger’s cat thought experiment, highlighting quantum paradoxes, especially superposition and the observer effect.

The Installation

Erwin Schrödinger sits on the bonnet of the jeep, looking introspective. On his shoulder, a lifelike cat gazes out into the distance, embodying the paradoxical fate of its famous counterpart. This installation visually represents the quantum principle that reality is shaped by observation. By placing Schrödinger and the cat in a dynamic, everyday setting, we invite viewers to ponder the fundamental nature of reality, where particles can exist in multiple states simultaneously, much like Schrödinger’s cat is both alive and dead until observed. The jeep, often a symbol of adventure and exploration, becomes a vessel for exploring the unknown territories of quantum physics.

Artistic Vision

Our installation combines art, science, and humour to make complex quantum concepts accessible and engaging to a broad audience. By comparing the deterministic world of classical physics with the probabilistic nature of quantum mechanics, we invite viewers to embrace the uncertainty and wonder of the quantum realm.
